It was my dream to work from a soil carbon research lab and regenerative hemp farm. I fulfilled that dream.

Working with Hudson Hemp in the Upper Hudson Valley of New York, I created a system for monitoring 10 varieties of hemp from 10 local farms, all dried, stored, and extracted on-farm. The extraction process involved cryo-ethanol extraction, evaporation and decarboxylation, and short-path disillation. The products were full-spectrum distillate blended with carrier oils and herbal infusions, for white labeled and bulk products. The system I designed supported inventory management as well as track-and-trace cannabis compliance. Eventually, the system would be able to track the amount of soil carbon represented by each unit of cannabis extract.
