AirMiners
In 2017, my business partner Tito and I were hired to explore ways to connect scientists, technologists, and policymakers working on atmospheric carbon removal.
We created the AirMiners concept brand to introduce a new profession into the zeitgeist - a shared concept that others can rally around.
From the first “Who’s Who of Air Mining 2017” report, to the air carbon-containing planter sourced from Carbon Engineering’s mid-stream limestone beads, to the 2019 bracelet with carbon sourced from Climeworks, to the success of the community on Slack in 2020-2021, AirMiners has been on quite a cutting-edge adventure.
I took a break from involvement during 2019 when I took a sabbatical in New York, and came back into involvement during the pandemic, when I co-organized the first conference and the first awards show, the Carby’s.
